How to get to Caleta de Famara
Caleta de Famara is one of the most emblematic destinations of Lanzarote, ideal for those looking for a place where nature and tranquility combine with unique landscapes. From Lanzarote Airport (Arrecife)
The César Manrique-Lanzarote airport is located about 25 kilometers from Caleta de Famara. There are several options to reach this picturesque town from the airport:
1.By rental car
This is the most flexible and fastest option. All major car rental companies are available at the airport, and the drive to Famara is very easy:
- Take the LZ-2 road heading north towards Arrecife.
- Follow the LZ-3 and take the exit to the LZ-20 towards San Bartolomé and Teguise.

2. By cab

- Take a bus from the airport to Arrecife.
- From the bus station in Arrecife, look for the bus line to Teguise if you arrive on a weekend or holiday, on weekdays there are direct buses from Arrecife to Famara.
- On holidays, once in Teguise, you will have to take another bus or a cab to complete the trip to Famara.

From other parts of Lanzarote
1. From Arrecife
Arrecife, the capital of the island, is about 24 kilometers from Caleta de Famara. By car, the journey is direct and takes about 25 minutes following the LZ-1 and then the LZ-402. If you prefer public transport, you will have to take a bus to Teguise and from there another one to Famara.
2. From Playa Blanca
If you are staying in the south of the island, in Playa Blanca, the drive takes approximately 50 minutes and follows the LZ-2 and LZ-30 to the LZ-402. Cabs and private transfer services are also available, although at a higher cost.
